Two Bees Riders Make British Final

Tai Woffinden is the British Speedway champion for the third year running after winning the final which featured two Coventry Bees riders at Wolverhampton.

Chris Harris, Danny King and Jason Garrity were the Coventry Bees riders involved in the British Final.

Former Bees rider Ben Barker crashed in heat one and was taken to hospital before Garrity won with Harris second in heat three.

Danny King won heat four with Harris and King both excluded in heat six.

Jason Garrity took his second win with victory in heat seven and his third in heat nine to take his total to nine points.

Danny King gave Tai Woffinden a good race in heat eleven but had to settle for second place.

Chris Harris rode in heat twelve and won and King went down in heat thirteen but was allowed to take part in the re-run and this time stayed on his bike to win to go onto eight points.

Jason Garrity rode in heat fourteen but was beaten by Richard Lawson into second place but still lead on the night as Chris Harris went in heat fifteen and battled with Cook of Belle Vue but finished second.

Harris had his final ride in heat seventeen, needing to win to book his place in the semi-finals but Bees asset Scott Nicholls took the win with Harris second. 

In the final heat, Jason Garrity and Danny King. Craig Cook took the win but Jason Garrity finished second to book his place in the final with Woffinden.

Cook, Lawson, Nicholls and Danny King who had nine points beat Chris Harris, who will still be in the World Final in Cardiff, on countback for a place in the race off.

Scott Nicholls put his bike down to avoid Lawson, who had locked his bike up and the race was halted. Lawson was excluded and Cook win ahead of King who joined him in the final.

With a Wild Card place for the World Final in Cardiff on July 4th at stake for either King, Garrity or Cook, their battle against favourite Tai Woffinden who rides in Poland & Sweden.

Craig Cook took the lead but Garrity went down and the heat was stopped.A devastated Garrity who admitted that it was not his night was excluded.

King went wide twice as Tai Woffinden rode to victory for a third straight year with Craig Cook finishing second to take the Wild Card place.
