The one hundredth edition of the Tour De France which will start in Corsica in 2013 has been announced.
The only French Department not to have seen Tour De France action, will have the opening three stages of the 2013 race.
The opening stage on Saturday June 29th 2013 will be start in the south of the Mediterranean island at Porto Vecchio and finish in Bastia.
Stage Two, the next day, will be one for the climbers with three climbs planned for the 155km route which starts in Bastia and finishes in Ajaccio.
Day Three on Monday July 1st 2013 is a 145km long stage from Ajaccio to Calvi.
