Tommy Godwin RIP

Tommy Godwin, British Track cyclist of the 1940's and 1950's sadly passed away on Sunday at the Marie Curie Hospice in Solihull, aged 91.

The winner of the 1000m at The Butts in Coventry in 1939, won bronze medals in the 1948 Olympics with thirds in the 1000m time trial and team pursuit.

He was an ambassador for the London 2012 Olympics and had opened the Pedals To Medals exhibition at the Transport Museum in Coventry on June 20th.
