Time Trial Victories For Mullen, Kelderman And Coppell

Ryan Mullen took the victory in the All Ireland time trial.

Mullen beat Dunbar and Irvine in Omagh over 25.22 kilometres.

AG2R's Hugo Houle took the time trial victory at the Canadian Road Championships in Saint-Georges, Quebec, on Thursday. The Quebec rider set a time of 57.14 over the 42km course which was better than the time of Ryan Roth (Silber Pro Cycling) by 26 seconds and Christian Meier (Orica-GreenEdge) by 1:06.

LottoNL-Jumbo's Wilco Kelderman is the new Dutch Time Trial champion. Kelderman beat team mates Rick Flens by forty two seconds and Jos Van Emden by forty four seconds. Tom Dumoulin of Giant Alpecin was fourth followed by LottoNL-Jumbo's Martjin Keizer and Maarten Tjallingii.

Edvald Boasson Hagen won the Norwegian Road Championships Time Trial.

The MTN Qhubeka set a time of 1:01:30 to beat Andreas Vangstad (Team Sparebanken Sor) by 2.16 seconds.

Jerome Coppell has won the French National Time Trial in Chantonnay, taking victory on a street named on after Thomas Voeckler.

Coppell of IAM Cycling won in a time of 59.56 and said "I’m also very surprised that I won. “I never made the podium before and my first time is on the top spot. I was pretty sure that I was racing for second place behind Sylvain [Chavanel]. It was a very hot day. Towards the end, it was very hard. I was almost cramping.”

Stéphane Rossetto of Cofidis was second with Sylvain Chavanel of  IAM Cycling in third place. Thomas Voeckler finished seventh.

Movistar's Adriano Malori has won the time trial at the Italian National Championships.

In Novara, Piedmont. Malori completed the 36.6km course in 44:13 to win ahead of Moreno Moser of Cannondale-Garmin and Daniele Bennati of Tinkoff-Saxo.

Malori said to his team's press office: "It was quite a technical course, with lots of turns, climbing... it wasn't easy at all. Fortunately, I felt really great, stronger than in the Tour de Suisse, and as there were many descents between the climbs, I was able to give my everything from the very start."

With no Fabian Cancellera in the time trial, Silvan Dillier of BMC Racing Team won the time trial at the Swiss National Championships.

Diller finished the 39.4km course in Lausanne in 50.03 to win in a competition in which only seven riders took part and said: "This is a nice victory for me. "The title is always nice to have and it is a good push for the season because I have had some bad luck in a few races. .

"The guys taking the time never told me the time gap so I was thinking I was behind and that they did not want to kill my morale. "But actually, I was in front. They didn't tell me because they did not want me to get too excited."

Reto Hollenstein of IAM Cycling was second with Steve Morabito of  FDJ in third place.
