Three Game Ban For Cale Tanaka

Coventry Blaze forward Cale Tanaka has been suspended for three matches by the Department of Player Safety.

Tanaka was given a 5+Game penalty for Checking to the Head in the game with Braehead Clan on Saturday night but following a DOPS review, this has been changed a match penalty for High Sticks.

This carries an automatic one-match ban and DOPS have added a further two games for a total of three matches.

The extra two games can be appealed against and The Blaze will make a decision on whether to pursue this action in due course.

Tanaka will miss the following games:

Friday 22nd January 2016 – Belfast Giants v Coventry Blaze
Saturday 23rd January 2016 – Belfast Giants v Coventry Blaze
Saturday 30th January 2016 – Sheffield Steelers v Coventry Blaze
