Team Sky Announce Tour De France Team

‎‎Team Sky have announced their nine man team for the Tour De France and as expected, there is no place for Sir Bradley Wiggins.
 
Chris Froome, the defending champion leads the team which includes ‎ Richie Porte ‎(Australia), Geraint Thomas (Great Britain), Mikel Nieve (Spain), Bernhard Eisel (Austria), Vasil Kiryienka (Belarus), David Lopez (Spain), Danny Pate (USA) and Xabier Zandio (Spain).
 
David Brailsford, the Team Sky boss, who insisted that Wiggins was still a part of the team despite not being selected,  has said that Sky are looking for a third consecutive victory and told his team's press office: ‎“Team Sky returns to the Tour de France with the reigning champion and we are looking to win the yellow jersey for the third time in three years and a second consecutive time for Chris Froome,” 
 
 “Defending champion Chris Froome is an exceptional talent, a brilliant stage racer, and he’ll lead the team.”
