Roman Sinkledam has won the Binche-Chimay-Binche race.

A 194.5km, 1.1 race on the European Tour, which started and finished in Binche, attracted a good field including last year's winner Zdenek Stybar of Etixx Quick Step.

The race quickly split into two groups with the fifteen leaders taking a three minute lead which was down to 1.40 with 145kms to go.

Seventy kilometres later and it was twelve riders out in front with a lead of fifty seconds.

They were brought back and Niki Terpstra was clear with a 33 second lead with forty kilometres remaining.

Terpstra started on the two closing laps of fifteen kilometres and with one lap to go, he was fifteen seconds ahead of a group of five riders and 55 seconds ahead of a second group.

With eight kilometres to go, Terpstra was caught and Jurgen Roelandts and Pim Lithgart led for four kilometres before being caught.

Roelandts attacked again with 3.5kms left and was still ahead under the flam rouge.

The peloton put in another burst of speed and Roelandts was caught and in the sprint, it was Roman Sinkledam who won ahead of Pim Lithgart.
