Niki Sørensen Admits To Doping

Former Danish rider Niki Sørensen has admitted to Anti-Doping Denmark that he doped in the past. 

Sørensen who has ridden for the likes of Tinkoff Saxo told Danish website BT.dk, as way he put it of helping the sport and before a report is published by A.D.D.about doping in a period up until this year : “I have doped, I fully admit that. I'm sorry for that, and the decision, I wish to move on.  

“I told ADD of my own experiences. I have done this to ease my conscience and because I also wanted to help the sport of cycling. 

"It happened in the early years of my career, and it is more than ten years back. “It was my own decision to do it and I can really only refer to ADD the report when it is published.” 

Sorensen, a stage winner of the Tour de France and Vuelta a España and a sporting director with Tinkoff Saxo, has claimed that he was acting on his own and that no-one had shown or told him how to dope.
