Another of cycling's worst kept secrets has now been officially confirmed in that cycling teams Radio Shack and Leopard Trek are to merge for the 2012 season.

The team will be rebranded as 'RadioShack-Nissan-Trek Professional Cycling Team' and comes after months of talks between the two teams which had Lance Armstrong and The Schlecks riding for them.

The team will be based in Luxembourg but will be licenced in Austin Texas and will see sporting operations managed by Johan Bruyneel Sports Management, who currently manages the Leopard Trek team.

The team will announce their full roster of thirty riders on September 15.
