Coventry Blaze Coach Chuck Weber has said that the main thing was that the Blaze got the two points from their 6-5 win at Edinburgh Capitals on Saturday night.
Weber told the Blaze website: "The main thing was we got the two points but we are disappointed to give them one.
"We have had some great starts in our last handful of games and a few of those we have been in hold-on mode and we have had another bad second period.
"Unfortunately our PK is still struggling but our powerplay was able to find us the two points.
"At 5-1 we need to learn to cruise, play it simple, manage the puck and let the clock run. We did not learn our lesson from Nottingham."
The Blaze take on the Cardiff Devils at the Skydome on Sunday night (5.15pm face-off) and Weber said: "We need to get off to another good start and do a better job of managing the middle part of the game.
"We must stay out of the box and capitalise on our opportunities because you do not get too many against Cardiff."
