Long Day In The Field For Warwickshire

Warwickshire County Cricket Club spent a long day in the field on the openng day of their County Championship game with Sussex at Edgbaston.

Sussex won the toss and opted to bat first. They had put on 46 when Ed Joyce was caught by Laurie Evans off the bowling of Boyd Rankin.

Matt Machan added twenty two but was caught by Chris Wright to give Josh Poyseden a wicket and with the score on 163-2, Luke Wells who had made 68 was caught by Rikki Clarke to give Chris Wright a wicket.

Chris Nash and Luke Wright came together at the crease with Nash going on to hit a century and ended the day on 112 not out with Wright on 43 not out as they ended the day on 280-3.
