The Radio Shack rider, who won seven successive tours, is competing in the Tour which starts in Rotterdam on Saturday but has said that this one is his last.
Writing on his Twitter page, Armstong said: "And yes, this will be my final Tour de France. It's been a great ride. Looking forward to 3 great weeks."
