Argos Shimano's Marcel Kittel won the fourth stage of the Eneco Tour of the Benelux countries.

Today was the longest stage of the race at 213.3km from Heers to Bergen op Zoom.

Veuchelen (VCD), Saez (EUS), Van Groen (ACC), Kohler (BMC), Dockx (LTB) and Shpilevsky (ALM) escaped on a sunny warm day.

With seventy kilometres to go, they had a lead of 2.40 after Veuchelen (VCD) had taken the second sprint..

Team Sky who had lost Chris Sutton with a recurrance of knee and back problems, moved to the front of the peloton as the gap dropped below two minutes with 36kms to go.

With 30kms, there was the second Primus-Sprint and Dockx won it. Eleven kilometres up the road, Tom Boonen was second in the sprint which was enough to put him in the leaders jersey as Freddie Veuchelen broke away.

Veuchelen was caught and Rabobank took over at the front before Katusha came to the fore with three to go.

Graham Brown of Rabobank went but was caught and Marcel Kittel won a time of 5.11.43 ahead of Roelandts and Nizzolo.

Tom Boonen leads Keukeleire by a second.
