Jets Plundered By The Pirates

Coventry Jets American Football team were beaten 35-20 by the East Kilbride Pirates this afternoon.

At Sphinx Drive, the Jets trailed to a McLoughlin touchdown, followed by a safety, a second touchdown from a sixty yard kick off return with Craig Black kicking for the extra point and a 55yard interception return by James McIntosh, which Black added an extra point to see Coventry 22-0 down.

Andrew Meechan ran in another touch down and the Jets were 28-0 down at half-time.

The Jets got on the board with a touch down early in the second half but Baptie scored with a touchdown that Black kicked over for the extra point.

The Jets ran in a second touch down but the kick for the extra point was blocked.

A third came with under two minutes to go. this time, the kick was good and the Jets took their points tally up to twenty. However, the East Kilbride Pirates had scored 35 points and the Jets went down to another defeat.
