Lotto Soudal's Andre Greipel is the new leader of the Ster ZLM Toer after victory on stage two.

IAM Cycling's Roger Kluge was in the leader's jersey for this 179km stage from Den Bosch to Rosmalen but it was Ronan van Zandbeek (Cyclingteam Join's - De Rijke), Twan Brusselman (Cyclingteam Jo Piels), Jasper Hamelink (Metec -TKH), Dion Beukeboom (Parkhotel Valkenburg) and Michael Vingerling (Team 3M) who were in the break for most of the stage.

They were brought back on the closing 14.8km circuits around Rosmalen but on the penultimate lap, the peloton were split by a crash involving Adam Hansen of Lotto Soudal.

This held up the race leader along with most of the Etixx Quick Step team and LottoNL-Jumbo's Martijn Keizer who was second on GC and a front group now consisting of around thirty riders.

A number of teams tried to gain some advantage but Lotto Soudal bided their time and dispatched Andre Greipel to a victory in 4:12:22 ahead of Edward Theuns of Topsport, Trek' s Danny Van Poppel, Michael Van Staeyen of Cofidis and Ramon Sinkeldam of  Giant-Alpecin.

It was a victory that gave Andre Greipel the lead in the points competition and the overall lead by two seconds from Danny Van Poppel and Victor Campenaerts of Topsport Vlaanderen - Baloise.
