European Track Cycling Championships

Last updated : 08 July 2013 By Stefano Bertolotti

338 riders from 24 different nations are registered at the 2013 edition of the European Track Cycling Championships Junior and Under 23 (Men & Women) that will take place at the “Velodromo Nacional di Sangalhos” in Anadia (Portugal) from 9th to 14th July.

This significant participation is the confirmation of the interest in track cycling from the European countries; it is a data that is confirmed by the increase of the number of participants of some countries.

The European Championship of Anadia has thus a particular meaning for the European Cycling Union which, throughout the years has undertook a supportive action, especially towards the smallest countries, aiming at promoting and developing the diffusion of all the cycling disciplines.

Next week, a total of 38 European titles will be awarded (10 for Men – Junior and Under 23; 9 for Women - Junior and Under 23). On the UEC website (www.uec.ch), you will be able to follow the competitions in real time.
