Coventry Blaze Win In Over-time At Cardiff

Coventry Blaze threw away a 4-1 lead but won 5-4 in over-time at Cardiff Devils tonight.

The Blaze took the lead after only 22 seconds through James Jorgensen, assisted by Ryan O'Marra and Steve Goertzen and added a second through Cale Tanaka, assisted by Ashley Tait and Jakub Sindel on 15.38 before Cardiff pulled a goal back through Brent Walton on 18.03.

Twelve minutes and thirty seconds into the second period and the Blaze had a third goal when Steve Goertzen scored, assisted by Jereme Tendler.

On 51.27, the Blaze scored a fourth when Ashley Tait scored, assisted by Jorgensen.

Cardiff started a fight back scoring on 53.52 through Hudson with a short-handed goal and Lord on 54.38 and then levelled through Morisette with 1.14 remaining to take the game into over-time.

Cale Tanaka got the goal, assisted by Jorgensen to take the extra point.
