Coventry Bees travel to Monmore Green tonight to take on Wolverhampton in the Elite League.

Both sides are at full strength and Bees boss Gary Havelock said to the Bees website: “We can win there, we pushed them close there earlier this year, and also last year we pushed them close once and won once.

“We have riders who certainly can go well around that track, but really it doesn’t matter where we go at the moment - I always go to the speedway thinking we are potentially going to get points.

“Poole are pushing us all the way, but touch wood if we can stay injury-free and keep up this amazing team spirit we have, I’m sure we’re going to be in the play-offs.

“But we know the team who tops the table doesn’t necessarily win the league in the play-offs, that’s been proven in the past. It’s the team who hits the play-offs in form and injury-free - at the moment, that could be four or five teams this year, but I’m not too worried about what the other teams are doing.

“When I was a rider I tried not to worry too much about the opposition, I worried about myself and tried to make sure I performed at my best when I needed to, and that’s what I tell the boys.”
