Coventry Bees Lose Away To Belle Vue

Coventry Bees were beaten at Belle Vue 50-42 this lunch time.

The start at the National Speedway Stadium in Manchester was delayed due to big crowds and there was a minute's silence for Krystian Rempala prior to the parade.

When the meeting did get underway, Max Fricke set the new track record in a re-run opening heat which Belle Vue took 5-1.

That was followed by Steve Worrall winning in a 4-2 for Belle Vue and Craig Cook and former Bees rider Scott Nicholls taking a 5-1 and Richie Worrall winning in another 5-1 to see the Bees 19-5 down after four heats.

Jason Garrity took a tactical ride in heat five but could only come second to Fricke in a 3-5.

Krzysztof Kasprzak won in a 4-2 for the Bees but in the next heat, Matej Zagar set a new track record with a win in a 5-1 which meant that the Bees were 29-15 down.

Another 4-2 to Belle Vue but in heat nine, James Sarjeant won with guest Ashley Morris in second place in a 5-1 which was followed by Krzysztof Kasprzak winning in a 5-1 to see the Bees now 35-27 down after ten heats.

A 3-3 was followed by a 4-2 to Belle Vue before Chris Harris won in a 5-1 in heat thirteen.

The Bees needed a couple of wins in the final two heats but Belle Vue took a 4-2 in heat fourteen and with Zagar winning in a 3-3 in the final heat, the Bees went down to an eight point defeat.
