Cov Rugby Beat Plymouth

Coventry Rugby Club left it late beat Plymouth Albion 26-19 at Butts Park Arena this afternoon.

Cov took the lead in front of a crowd of 1,168 through a Weightman try which was converted by Jones who kicked two penalties in the first half before Stupple ran in a 36th minute try that Putt converted.

On the stroke of half-time, Jones kicked another penalty to see Cov 16-7 ahead.

Ford ran in a try in the 42nd minute for Plymouth but Jones kicked his fourth penalty of the game before Dacres went over for a 53rd minute try that Putt converted to level the scores.

In the final minute, Le Roux went over for Cov and with Jones converting, Cov had 26-19 win.
