Coventry Bees were beaten by Poole in a meeting that ended prematurely by the weather after ten heats and the Bees reluctance to race.

The Bees, who top the Elite League, were able to field a strong team and in heat one, Andersen and Robson went for the Bees but Chris Holder got to the front and won in a 3-3.

James Sarjeant and Jason Garrity went in heat two but Garrity hit the tapes and went off fifteen metres and this allowed Poole to take a 5-1.

The rain was coming down quite heavily in Coventry as Kylmakorpi and Chris Harris went for the Bees in the third heat. The Bees got away and Joonas Kylmakorpi won to level the scores at 9-9.

Danny King and Sarjeant went in heat four and King won in a 3-3 before Garrity and Robson rode in a re-run heat five. Poole took that 5-1

Kylmakorpi went to the front with Danny King having a battle for Janowski and it was a 4-2 to the Bees.

Andersen and Chris Harris went in heat seven. They took the lead but Andersen lost his bike on a turn and Harris held off North to win in a 3-3.

Garrity and King rode in heat eight with the rain still coming down. Garrity went down on the first bend on the outside and hit the airfence before being excluded from the re-run. Danny King's bike packed up leaving Watt and Starke to ride to a 5-0.

Garrity was back in heat nine with Robson as the wind got up. On the first bend, Robson and Kyle Newman went down. Robson got up but Newman needed medical attention.before getting to his feet.

Garrity was disqualified as the Bees boss Gary Havelock.and the Bees staff called for a track inspection.

Heat nine went ahead with only Robson going for the Bees and Robson finished second behind Newman as Poole took a 4-2 and a nine point lead.

Harris and Kylmakorpi were due to ride in heat ten. Neither of the Bees riders wanted to ride and they were disqualified. No-one replaced them under the two minutes rule and Holder and Watt completed the four laps which saw Poole 36-22 ahead.

The meeting was then abandoned with ten completed, seeing the Bees taking no points from the meeting and Poole four points, to put them three points behind the Bees.
