Collapse Sends Warwicks Seconds To Defeat

Warwickshire Second Eleven crashed to a defeat on the final day of their game with Nottinghamshire at Ladybay.

Warwicks resumed their second innings on 76-1 but only added one run when Leach was caught by Kitt.

Lewis came in and made fifteen before losing his wicket and the collapse started with Hannon-Dalby out for fifteen, Phillips out without scoring and Lambert going for twenty one.

Brown and Tilcock who took four wickets removed Tom Milnes and Josh Poyseden without scoring.

Riccardo Gordon could only add a single before he lost his wicket and when Adair was bowled by Brown for ten, Warwicks were all out for 148.

Notts needed 146 to win and although they lost Webster, Wood,  Huttonm Tilcock and Freeman with Gordon taking two wickets, Root, who hit a half century from 58 balls including eight fours and a six in an inbeaten knock of 55 got the runs to send Warwicks to a five wicket defeat.
