The traditional warm up to the Veulta a Espana takes place today in San Sebastian, Spain.

The Clasica de San Sebastian, has been hold since 1981 and the 227km race which favours those able to climb, has been won by the likes of Lance Armstrong, Miguel Indurain, Laurent Jalabert and last year's winners Philippe Gilbert.

The BMC rider is not defending his title but there is a reasonably strong field which includes London 2012 Olympic Mens Road Race Champion Alexander Vinokourkov and Alberto Contador.

British interest features BMC's Steve Cummings (pictured below0 whilst Ireland is represented by Garmin's Danny Martin and AG2R's Nicholas Roche.
