Chaves Wins Abu Dhabi Tour

Orica GreenEdge's Esteban Chaves has won the Abu Dhabi Tour.

The final stage which has Esteban Chavesa of Orica GreenEdge in the lead, was a 110m stage or twenty laps on the Yas Marina motor racing circuit.

Lutsenko won the first sprint and was joined in the break by Brambilla and Vorganov and they were 1.32 ahead with 72 kilometres of racing left.

The trio pushed their lead out to 1.46 but it was back down to 1.12 with 38 kilometres left of a race on a floodlit track.

Vorganov dropped back leaving the two out front with a 26 second lead with just under nineteen kilometres left and with fifteen kilometres left, the break was caught.

Will Clarke of Drapac and Mancebo took over with the front runnung duties and took a ten second lead but as they took the bell for the final 4.8km lap, everyone was back together again.

A sprint ensued and it was Elia Viviani of Team Sky who took the win ahead of World Champion Peter Sagan, followed by Guardini, Oss, Canola, Mezgec, Palini, Lobato, Wisniowski and Rojas.

Esteban Chaves finished safely in the peloton and won the race overall by sixteen seconds from Fabio Aru, followed by Poels, Brajokvic and Ulissi.
