Mark Cavendish has, as expected, been named in the Omega Pharma Quick Step team for the 101st Tour De France.

The Belgium based side have Cavendish as their main sprinter with Allesandro Petacchi, Jan Bakelandts, Mark Renshaw, Matteo Trentin, Michael Golas, Michael Kwiatkowski, Niki Terpstra and World Time Trial Champion Tony Martin, named for the race which starts in Leeds on Saturday July 5th.

Meanwhile, Nacer Bouhani has been left out of the FDJ.fr team. The French champion was expected to make the team but he has been omitted with FDJ's Team Boss Marc Madiot saying: "I talked for a good time with Nacer before releasing this list. "We spoke about his contract extension negotiations are not completed. That does not mean he will leave the team. "I know he wants to stay in my team and I want him to stay there but we will give it some time and we will contact him, when the time comes."
