Cameron Meyer Wins Tour De Suisse Second Stage

Orica Greenedge's Cameron Meyer won the second stage of the Tour De Suisse.

On a day of poor visibility, rain and snow on the sides of the road, Bjorn Tharau took the first three climbs on a 181km stage from Bellazona to Sarmen.

Tharau was in a group which contained Team Sky's Phillip Deignan, Orica Greenedge's Cameron Meyer, Wabasse and Hollenstein.

They were 4.45 ahead of the yellow jersey of Omega Pharma Quick Step's Tony Martin with sixty kilometres to go and then 2.45 with 34kms to go.

Deignan attakcked and was followed by Werbasse and Thurau but Meyer caught up to them with 10ms left.

The trio had a lead of 1.10 and with five kilometres left, they were still 57 seconds ahead 

The trio kept going and it was Cameron Meyer who took the win ahead of Deignan, Webasse, Sagan, Ben Swift, Dillier, De Kort, Schurter, Gasparotto and Kolobnev.

Tony Martin finished safely and retains his six second lead over Tom Dumoulin, thirteen seconds over Rohan Dennis and sixteen seconds over Cancellara.
