British Cyclist To Quit

British cyclist Charles Weglius has announced that he is to retire from professional cycling.

A reliable Domestique, the Yorkshireman started with the Linda McCartney team in 1999 before riding for De Nardi, Liquigas and Lotto with whom he raced for in the 2009 Tour De France which started in Monaco.

He had been riding for United Healthcare for the last two seasons and will call time on his career in the Giro di Padania this week.
