COVENTRY Storm host the National League Fours at Brandon today at 3pm weather permitting.
Eight of the ten National League clubs are represented, with only Stoke and Buxton missing out, and each will be sending four riders to the meeting.
The format sees the teams split into two groups of four, and each group is raced over eight heats with one rider from each team in each race. The top two teams from each group then progress to the eight-race Final, meaning a 24-race schedule will decide the overall winners.
Storm boss Laurence Rogers said: “This is a very big meeting, it should be a cracker and we have eight good sides competing.
“I feel we have the toughest draw being in group A but with our top riders in form we should still be very confident of going through.
“Last year we dominated the semi-final group we were in whilst Cradley scraped through, but in the Final if it was going to go wrong it did, and our West Midlands rivals took the honours, so we will be out for revenge!”
Admission for the 24-race programme is just £15 for adults, with all children going free.
