Blaze Smash Twelve Past Partizan Belgrade

Super Coventry Blaze hammered Partizan Belgrade 12-1in their second Continental Cup Group C Second Round game in Poland.

The Blaze went behind tro a Mark Brkusanin goal for the Serbians, who lost 26-0 to hosts Tychy yesterday on 10.33 but had Neil Trimm score on 18.11 and Russ Cowley on 19.04 to see the Blaze lead going into the second period. 

Carl Lauzon (24.56), Ross Venus (26.48), Trimm (30.34 & 33.48) and captain Ashley Tait (39.12 powerplay), made it 7-1 at the end of the second period and with goaltender Renny Marr saving all six shots he faced, the Blaze were able to go on and score through Ashley Tait on 40.47, Brett Robinson (46.54). Jordan Pietrus on 47.43 and 47.52 with Carl Lauzon scoring number twelve on 56.15.

The Blaze, again watched by a decent travelling support, now need to beat the hosts Tychy tomorrow in order to reach the next round.
