Blaze Out Of Challenge Cup

Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team are out of the Challenge Cup after losing 5-3 at Cardiff Devils in the second leg.

The Blaze trailed 4-1 from the first leg and took a 59 second lead with a powerplay goal from Jakub Sindel, assisted by O'Marra and Nikiforov but Cardiff came back with goals from a powerplay goal from Martin on 15.11, a second from Culligan on 16.17 and a powerplay goal from Myers on 17.53.

Ryan O'Marra scored a second goal for the Blaze on 22.49, assisted by Nikiforov and Sindel and Jereme Tendler levelled the scores when he netted on 30.20, assisted by Jorgensen and O'Marra but the majority of the 1960 crowd got the win they wanted when Martin scored a fourth on 43.52 and Walton made it 5-3 to the Devils on 46.38.

Cardiff face Sheffield in the final.
