Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team were beaten 5-2 at home by the Cardiff Devils tonight.
Ashley Tait was playing his 700th game for the Blaze and he opened the scoring on 13.08 when he scored a powerplay goal, assisted by Mike Quesnele before Joey Haddad levelled on 14.57.
In the second period, Cardiff took the lead through Zach Hervato on 29;25 and the Blaze came back to level on 34.50 through Drew Fisher, assisted by Brett Robinson and Jim Jorgensen.
However, a goal from Guillaume Doucet hd Cardiff on 38.36 3-2 up at the end of the second period.
In the third, Cardiff score twice through Joey Martin on 41.56 and Jake Morrisette on 42.21 with a short-handed goal to send the Blaze to a 5-2 defeat.
