Betteridge had Nottingham ahead on 3.01 with Clarke scoring a powerplay goal on 7.45 before Bohmbach netted on 18.30.
Seven minutes into the second period and Bohmbach scored again with a power play goal from Myers on 36.38 and one from Moran on 38.18 gave The Panthers a 6-0 lead at the end of the second period.
A powerplay goal from Lukacevic on 44.26 got Cov on the board and although Ashley Tait scored a second goal on 51.01, the damage had long been done.
