Blaze Hit Five Past Sheffield

Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team made it a winning weekend when they beat Sheffield Steelers 5-1 at the Sky Dome tonight.

After winning 3-2 thanks to penalty shots last night, the Blaze found themselves a goal down on 18.37 to an unassisted Jonathan Phillips goal but 21 seconds later, James Jorgensen equalised, assisted by Russ Cowley and Drew Fisher.

On 23.17, Jordan Pietrus fired the Blaze ahead, assisted by Drew Fisher and Neill Trimm and scored again on 31.08 with a powerplay goal, assisted by  Michael Quesnele and Carl Lauzon.

Fifty nine seconds later and there was a fourth goal for the Blaze when James Jorgensen bagged his second of the game, assisted by Michael Quesnele and Carl Lauzon.

With Jason Hewitt out of the game, Michael Quesnele scored on the powerplay on 58.28, assisted by Ashley Tait and Ross Venus to give the Blaze a 5-1 win.
