Blaze Beat The Panthers

Coventry Blaze beat Nottingham Panthers 4-3 tonight at the Sky Dome in Coventry.

The Blaze took the lead on 8.38 with a Lauzon powerplay goal, assisted by Lukacevic and Fisher before Schultz equalised also on the powerplay on 15.28.

Fourteen seconds into the second period and Quesnele fired Coventry back in front, assisted by Trimm and Robinson and it was three on 23.15 when Russ Cowley scored, assisted by Venus and Tait before Lukacevic scored the fourth on the powerplay on 26.34.

Nottingham came back with goals from Janssen on 27.58 and Schultz with a powerplay goal on 35.16 but the Blaze held on to win in a game which saw Cale Tanaka get a twenty minute ban for misconduct.
