Blaze Beat Panthers In Over-Time

Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team beat Nottingham Panthers in over-time after the game tonight finished 3-3.

At the Sky Dome, the Blaze took the lead on 1.31 through James Griffin but Greg Jacna levelled on 18.09 and the Panthers went in front thanks to an Evan Mosey goal on 1.19 into the second period.

Just over two minutes later, the Blaze levelled through Cale Tanaka, assisted by Steve Goertzen and Ryan O'Marra and on 39.11, Mark Smith put the Blaze 3-2 up with a goal, assisted by James Griffin.

On 46.24, Charles Landry had the Panthers back level at 3-3 and with no more goals, the game went to over-time and the Blaze scored to take a much needed win.
