Bees Face Poole

Coventry Bees take on Poole Pirates tonight at Brandon.

The Bees should be at full strength with Hans Andersen riding despite a broken finger for the meeting which has been brought forward from August 14th and is live on Sky Sports.

Bees boss Gary Havelock said to the Bees website: “I’ve learnt now that I’ve spent a couple of years at Coventry that although there is the local rivalry with Leicester and Wolverhampton, and there was with Birmingham before they dropped out, Coventry v Poole is very much the biggest one of all.

“I’d say that over the last two years they’ve had the better of it, but we definitely have the best form, it’s a big match for us and I think it’s going to be another classic encounter.

“I just hope that we have 15 heats of hard speedway with the best team winning, with no controversy!”
