Stratford Town defender Loyiso Recci has been banned from playing football for five years by the Birmingham County FA.

Recci was part of Stratford's promotion winning side, but has been banned following an attack on a Westfields player in a Midland Alliance fixture in 2013.

Two months ago, Recci was given an eight month suspended prison sentence with 200 hours of unpaid work for his part in the incident.

Recci can appeal the ban and the £150 fine within fourteen days of receiving his letter from the Birmingham County FA.
