Nuneaton Town have signed Joe Maguire from Ilkeston Town.
The defender was captain at Ilkeston under Kevin Wilson who said about him to Nuneaton News: "He is a great player and one I obviously know a lot about.
"He really should be playing at a lot higher level than this with the ability he has got. It is a case of joining up with a manager he knows, though.
"I am glad he has because he will certainly improve us. I am glad he is here.
"He used to be a midfielder and he has kept that ability on the ball now he has moved into defence.
"In that sense he is a defender who likes to play – and that is how I like to see my players play.
"He is a very good player and along with that he has the right attitude.
"He was my captain at Ilkeston because of that. He had all the qualities I was looking for."
