Nuneaton Town have signed Liam Canavan.

The former Hinckley player, scored bagging 38 goals in as many games for Leicester based Thurnby Nirvana in the  United Counties League Premier Division last season.

Liam said to the Nuneaton club website: "I know how to find the back of the net. Only one of those goals was a penalty and because of a slight injury I started some of those matches on the bench too.

"My manager at Nirvana, Damion Quailey, told me that if I scored 30
goals a big club would come in for me, and that is what has happened.

"Kevin Wilson's track record speaks for itself after what he did for
many players at Ilkeston, and I hope to go on and play in the Football League.

"I have played at this level before. When I was 16 I played for
Hinckley United in the Conference North and scored five goals from the left wing, which was not really my preferred position."

"I like to play in the hole as an attacking midfielder, but I can
play up front or in central midfield".
