Rugby Town have changed their backroom staff.

The club, who will play in the Northern Premier League Division One South this season, said in a press statement:

"New Rugby Town manager Gary Mills has moved to bring in a new backroom staff to Butlin Road.

Mills welcomes ex-Bedford and Wellingborough manager Craig Adams as his assistant, with Brian Mapley as a goalkeeping coach and Ben Beaumont as the new physiotherapist.

Adams, who had a spell at Butlin Road as a player in the mid-1990's, has resigned his manager post at Bedford to join Rugby after a 14-month spell at the New Eyrie where he guided the Eagles to a 17th place season in the Southern League Division One Central after relegation from the Southern League Premier.

Mapley was with Adams at at both Bedford and Wellingborough while Beaumont is taking up his first physio post in non-league football after recently qualifying.

Mick Bird will remain as the first team kit man."
