Stars from a number of Coventry based sporting teams will be attending the official switching on of the Christmas Lights in Coventry this Sunday.

The Lights this year are being switched on by a Coventry based child who has battled adversity as well as Roy Wood, world renowned for his "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day" hit of the 1970's and a feature of every Christmas since.

Touch FM's Brody Swain will be hosting the event which sees the lights swiched on at 6pm.

There are plenty of things going on in Town from mid-day with appearances from Peppa Pig at West Orchards shopping centre, "White Christmas" in the Lower Precinct, a vintage and handmade market from 11am to 5pm in Priory Place, a special street market in Spon Street and an appearance by The Stig from Top Gear in the Transport Museum.
