This afternoon, Horace Panter and Roddy Radiation from the Specials unveiled the first plaque as part of a project called TwoTone@30 to mark the 30th anniversary of Two Tone music.

The venue was the Canal Basin off St Nicholas Street in Radford which was the setting for the photos on the first Specials album cover.

The plaques, which sprang from an idea by two tone author Pete Chambers are sponsored by Coventry Market and made in Coventry by Harris Signs.

These will be unveiled around the City of Coventry over the coming year.
