Coventry Market was today announced as Britain's Favourite Market in an on-line poll.
Last year, Leicester Market took the award from Coventry by one vote but this year, the tables were turned and Coventry were announced as the clear winners today.
Speaking exclusively to Covsupport News Service, Bill Duffin, Coventry Market's Traders Association spokesman said:"The thing that is good, is that it is a vote from Coventry people not a committee.
"In March, we will see if the listing from English Heritage is lifted and we can bring this all forward in a new market. That has to be good for Coventry."
