Sphinx Youth Get Cup Campaign Off To A Good Start

Coventry Sphinx got their Youth Supplementary Cup campaign off to a great start with a 4-0 victory over Highgate United.

Sphinx, who won the Supplementary Cup in 2005 the last time it was played, were ahead in 41 seconds thanks to a neat finish from Jacob Dodds and it was two in the tenth minute when Jack Downes scored.

A fiercely struck free kick in the 43rd minute saw Kyle Jaynes score a third and in the 57th minute Kyle Carey made it four.

Sphinx, having used all their substitutes finished the game with nine players when two limped off with injuries whilst Highgate finished with ten players after having their substitute sent off for a head butt in the closing moments of this Group C game.
