Coventry Sphinx were beaten 6-0 at home by Shepshed Dynamo this afternoon.
Sphinx had debutant keeper Neil Collett sent off in the 16th minute and Read scored from the resulting penalty.
Read netted again from another penalty for a handball seven minutes later and in the 72nd minute, completed his hat-trick.
Pescott added a fourth in the 82nd minute and Young hit a fifth three minutes later, before scoring a sixth in the 88th minute.
