The home side fashioned two corners and had Rob Morgan fire over in the 25th minute.

Dan Pritchard ‎also tested the keeper as the sun came out ‎but on 41 minutes, Danny Chapman was allowed to send a stunning 25 yard strike high into the net.

Carl O'Neill had to make two reaction saves to deny ‎
‎Darby and Morgan for a Sphinx side who had been undone in the last few minutes of the half.

‎Sphinx went three up front for the second half and were on the attack with a Dodds shot having to be caught.
Shepshed had a 55th minute ‎free kick which led to two corners and in their next attack, Jamie Brooks got the ball on the left and fired low into the net for Shepshed's second.

In the 65th minute, Shepshed had a third from a spell of pressure and the ball fall for Steve Towers to rifle into the net.
