Coventry Sphinx were out of the FA Cup after taking Southern League Central Division side Bedworth United to extra time.

Luke Hopkins side had played well on Saturday to earn a replay at The Oval and on the new 3G pitch in front of a crowd of 225, Sphinx went behind to a Dubiday goal in the 28th minute.

To their credit, Sphinx never gave up and had chances before the break through Gumery and captain Ashley Jackson.

In the 75th minute, Sphinx were drew level thanks to Ashley Jackson sent a looping header into the net.

That sent the match into extra time and in the third minute, Creaney set a header into the net to put Bedworth ahead. Seven minutes later, Bedworth booked their First Qualifying Round trip to Boldmere St Michaels when skipper Chris Tullins marked his 500th appearance for the Greenbacks with a goal that sent Sphinx to a 3-1 defeat.
