Jordan Willis equalised for the Sky Blues late on in the game against an experieced side who are leaders of the FA Academy League Group B.
Speaking to Advent Communications' Simon Gilbert, Rioch said: "We are extremely proud of the players and it is difficult to put in to words just how well they performed.
"There is a three-and-a-half year age gap between some of the players on our team and the players they were up against - so they have done exceptionally well.
"It was a brilliant team performance and everyone played their part. Many of this group will be together for the next two years and to see such great team spirit at this early stage is extremely encouraging and we hope they can build on that going forward."
