Coventry City U18's boss Gregor Rioch was disappointed with City U18's defeat at Cardiff City on Saturday morning.

Speaking to the club website about the 2-1 defeat which saw Billy Daniels score for City, he said: "It's very disappointing when you see penalties given like the one that was awarded against us.

"It's doubly frustrating when you're a goal down and the result doesn't reflect the performance of your team because I thought we were electric at times.

"Luke Bottomer and Josh Ruffels did superbly well on the flanks, taking what we had been working on in training and applying that to the game to give Cardiff problems and we certainly gave them alot of problems.

"The only thing we needed was to be a bit more clinical in front of goal because if we'd done that I'm certain we would have seen Cardiff off.

"Result aside though, I thought our lads were absolutely superb and I thought it was arguably one of the best footballing displays I have seen them give me.

"We played some lovely stuff and our passing was excellent and what we found with Cardiff, like we have with alot of teams this season, they tried to turn the game into a scrap in the second half to keep us away."
