City U23's Beaten At Cardiff City

Coventry City U23's were beaten 3-1 away to Cardiff City tonight in their final fixture of 2016.

The Sky Blues were able to field a strong side with Ben Stevenson in midfield along side Callum Maycock and Jodi Jones.

However, they were a goal down in eight minutes when Semi Ajayi finished off a Weymans' cross.

In the 43rd minute, it was two when Macauley Southam smashed the ball into the roof of the net. 

City pulled a goal back in the 72nd minute when Cian Harries danced his way through the home defence and passed for George Thomas to fire into the net.

However, four minutes later, Cardiff had a third goal when Addai failed to hold a shot and Mark Harris netted to send Coventry to a year ending defeat.
